UBC study shows opioids, multi-drug use rising among impaired drivers | Vancouver Sun
An increasing number of B.C. drivers injured in car crashes are found to have opioids, recreational drugs like cocaine and amphetamines or over-the-counter medications like antihistamines in their system that can lead to impairment, a new UBC study shows.
It also indicates that cannabis is now more commonly detected than alcohol among drivers moderately or severely injured in a crash.
